Disneyland Day 3

Happy Valentine's Day!  On day 3 we headed back to California Adventure.  Our morning started with a ride on Guardians of the Galaxy (Chris and Emily) a few spins around the Monster's Inc ride, a meet and greet with Anna and Elsa (Oliver was so disappointed Olaf wasn't there) and then we hit up the Disney Junior Dance Party and Mickey's Philharmagic.  These were other shows that came highly recommended from several other families and they didn't disappoint!  It was so nice to not worry about crowds and to enjoy some Disney Magic while sitting down.  :)

Carne Asada Fries.  Heaven.

Animation Academy
After the shows we scarfed down some Carne Asada Fries from Award Wieners (OMG, so good) and then went to the Animation Academy to learn how to draw Forky.  Zoë got frustrated super quickly but Oliver seemed to like it!  And I love all of our drawings.  It was something that was quick and easy to do.  I would definitely go back and learn to draw something else!

Forky!

A fluffernutter churro followed up that TRAUMATIC experience.  Duh.

Fluffernutter Churro!

We headed back to Pixar Pier to see some more characters (and another ride on the Incredicoaster for mom and dad) and we convinced Zoë to ride Goofy's Sky School.  LUCKILY the ride was just coming back from being closed for a bit so we skipped right to the front of the standby line and saved our FastPass for another ride later.  Zoë did VERY well on the ride (laughing at Chris' joke that the top was a lot like my driving...) and it shut down halfway through the hills which I also think helped her survive.  She did great!
EVERYBODY rode Goofy's Sky School!

We hit up Ghirardelli's ice cream parlor and Soarin' Around the World one more time (that was ANOTHER ride we had to BEG Oliver to go on and then he ended up loving it.  We rode it three times in two days!) and then decided to head out to Downtown Disney for dinner and shopping.  By that afternoon the park had gotten super crowded and since we had already done everything we wanted to we didn't feel like we were missing out on the park at all.

Dinner was devoured at Tortilla Jo's, we played at the LEGO store, endured an EPIC heartbreaking tantrum from Oliver because we weren't buying the souvenir he wanted RIGHT. NOW., grabbed some treats at Marceline's and headed back to the hotel.  We were already dreading the crowds the following day based on what it looked like later on Friday afternoon and evening.  And we were right to be concerned...
